What this service is, and is not.

1. A standalone online portal

Babysittinghub is an online portal provided on a standalone, “as is” and “as available” basis. Its function is to let independent parties find one another and to keep the record of that introduction. The platform is not a childcare or pet-care provider, not an employment or staffing agency, not a licensed care facility, and not a consumer reporting agency.

2. Users are independent parties

Sitters and clients contract directly with each other. No user is an employee, agent, partner, joint venturer, or representative of the platform. The platform does not supervise, direct, control, schedule, or attend any sit, does not set rates or terms between users, and does not train, certify, license, or insure anyone.

3. What verification means

Background screening is performed by a third-party consumer reporting agency. A result reflects only the records available to that agency at the time of the search. Records can be incomplete, out of date, or absent. A “verified” badge on this platform means a check is on file — it is not a prediction of future conduct and not a guarantee of any person’s suitability, honesty, competence, or safety.

4. No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform assumes no liability for: the acts or omissions of any user; the quality, safety, timeliness, or legality of any care provided or received; injury, illness, loss, or damage to any person, child, animal, or property arising from any arrangement made through the portal; any dispute between users; or any failure of a user to hold required licences or insurance.

The platform disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Its aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you actually paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your own due diligence — meeting in person, checking references, confirming insurance and licensing where relevant, and complying with the law that applies to you, including any tax and employment obligations arising from a private care arrangement.

6. Accounts

Accounts are personal and isolated to the person who created them. The platform host may suspend or remove an account, with notice and a stated reason, where required for safety, legal compliance, or terms enforcement.

7. Not advice

Nothing on this platform is legal, tax, medical, veterinary, or insurance advice.
